ABOUT TRIGRAM FILMS

Established in 2006, Trigram is helmed by renowned Taiwanese producer Peggy Chiao. Trigram aims to nurture young filmmakers and deliver artistically-driven yet commercially viable films that appeal to masses and critics. Trigram’s 2009 box office champion HEAR ME was nominated for Best New Performer at Taiwan’s prestigious Golden Horse Awards and the Audience Award at the Osaka Asian Film Festival. ME, 19 is one of Taiwan’s few films that integrate modern dance and classical music. From casting, to screenwriter, to choreographer, to composer, Trigram audaciously chose young and emerging talent. The romantic movie TEMPEST OF FIRST LOVE explores communication gaps between parents and children through two high-schooler’s comedic attempt to stop their world from falling apart—or, to prevent their own parents from divorcing. Trigram’s string of popular, youth-oriented films has successfully introduced rising actors Eddie PENG, CHEN Yi-Han, Michelle CHEN, CHANG Chieh and Anita LEE to the big screen.
